What are some good staple foods and recipes you can make with them?

I just moved out of my parents house and I need to know what some good staple foods are o keep around the house and what meals you can make with them. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, so nothing is off limits. I just want some tips for a simple and inexpensive grocery list. What are some good staple foods and recipes you can make with them?
EGG'S - you can make egg salad sandwiches , slice them up in your salad , eat hard boiled , have for breakfast poached , make fried rice with eggs , make veggie omelettes for quick dinners .

PITA'S - you can eat them with jam , stuff them with tomato sauce and cheese and bake for a yummy pizza , you can make chicken queasadilla's by stuffing the pita with chicken lettuce cheese and tomato and putting it in the microwave to melt the cheese , you can use them for dips like tzatziki ( a cool cucumber , and low fat yoghurt dip ) or spinach dip , or salsa ! :) You can even bake them and use to make nacho's !

POTATO'S - you can bake them in wedges to make oven baked fries , you can mash them with gravy , you can make potato salads , you can bake them and add with sour cream and butter , you can boil them in chunks for side dishes of roast , pork , or chicken .

CHICKEN - chicken quesadilla's , roasted quarter chicken , chicken salads , chicken stir fries , chicken salad sandwich , chicken pot pies .

CORN - corn on the cob grilled or boiled , make cream of corn , eat corn niblets with meat , add them with your mashed potato's .

OATS - make oatmeal , have it with yoghurt and berries for breakfast , use them as you would bread crumbs for meats , make yummy chocolate granola bars ,or quick oat chocolate bran muffins .

TOMATO'S - roast them in the oven , you can cut them up and slice them in your sandwiches , add to salads , make quick pasta sauces , make salsa for your pita chips or for nacho's .

get canned beans and soups because they can stay in a drawer for long and you can eat can beans or peas or carrots with meat , or make pot pies or make bean burrito's , and soups can be quickly cooked in a pot and eaten for lunch or dinner !

And their inexpensive !

Hope this helped :)What are some good staple foods and recipes you can make with them?
One of my top things in the cupboard would be canned tomatoes because you can make so many things from them, pasta, soup, pizza,in a bake, casserole, really anything, lots of Italian things you can make and the cans are really cheap. Pasta and rice as well make good staples and you can make lots of things out of them, pretty easy to work out recipes there. Canned soup, like veggie, mushroom etc you can turn into a or a pasta bake or beef stroganoff and plenty of other things, noodles are good too. frozen or fresh veggies, tomato paste, canned anything, canned tuna etc
