I prefer Mrs. Grass's Chicken Noodle Soup, the noodles aren't big and no chunks of chicken in it. Hits the spot. Not sure if many people have ever heard of it though.I have the flu, need super simple comfort food/soup recipe?
I'm not Jewish, so I don't do the chicken soup, but I do have some french genes and the simple part is open a can of french onion soup followed by some Sleepytime Tea by Celestial Seasonings. Works for me.
In my professional opinion, my dear, the soup of choice would be Italian Wedding Soup. It is a thin soup with small chunks of chicken %26amp; vegetables that ALWAYS cheers you up!

2. O yeah set you oven to 400 and then put the pan in and let cook till golden brown or what eveer color it is it depends on the flavor of Ice Cream you put in there.
3. Let cool and stand till rotten.
4. Let those germs in your body die with this mixture they will think this is so gross they will disapper fast. This can't be no worse than a flu bug.

Where ever I feel that I'm coming down with a flu/cold I head home and on the way I pick up the fixings for Chicken Soup.
I've developed this recipe over the years from talking to grandmothers from the old country. They know how best to cook this. You can adjust the seasoning to your taste.
This is the best thing when you feel under the weather and it is easy to prepare. 20 minutes. If you buy from a butcher ask them to cut it up.
Cut up %26amp; put in stock pot (10 quart)
3 lbs. Whole chicken or legs %26amp; thighs (Capon is meatier %26amp; tastier)
Bring water to a boil, hold for about three minutes and then turn to simmer.
Never over boil. It kills the flavour.
Simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour or until meat is falling off the bone.
While water is coming to a boil, skim off foam.
Add
4 - 6 parsnip
4 carrots
4 celery stalks
1 onion
1 clove garlic
water to cover (about 8 cups)
salt %26amp; pepper
Remove from heat.
Remove meat from bone and set aside for another time.
Return bone and add
Dill, parsley, thyme
to soup and let simmer for another hour.
Strain soup and put in fridge until fat solidifies.
Remove fat.
Good served alone or with egg noodles.
Feel better.
