Have you tried any recipes from the Food Network? Which show/s?

So far I've made Paula Deen's Red Velvet Cupcakes, Giada's Butternut Squash Lasagna, Jamie Oliver's Pappardelle w/ Leeks and a few others.

Have you tried any of the recipes based on the shows? Which ones? Which show is your favorite? Least favorite?Have you tried any recipes from the Food Network? Which show/s?
I've made Tyler Florences ultimate cheesecake and let me tell you....its a definite KEEPER in my home! I dont even like cheesecake, but this one is decadent. I've also made several of Barefoot Contessa's recipes. She has a really good one for roasted chicken where you stick 2 lemon halves and lots of garlic bulbs inside the chicken along with slices of bacon on top. This is the only way we roast chicken in our home now, but we use turkey bacon to cut the fat a lil bit....deeeelish!Have you tried any recipes from the Food Network? Which show/s?
i make paula deen all the time i also like racheal ray 30 min meals

the one i am trying tonight is Open-Faced Steak-and-Fries Sandwiches

One 1 1/2-inch-thick London broil (about 1 1/4 pounds)

2 teaspoons herbes de Provence

Salt and pepper

4 tablespoons butter

1 pound frozen french fries

1 large onion, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons flour

One 14.5-ounce can beef broth

8 slices challah bread, toasted

1. Season the steak with 1 teaspoon herbes de Provence and salt and pepper. In a heavy skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Transfer to a plate, reserving the skillet.

2. Meanwhile, bake the french fries according to package directions.

3. Return the skillet to medium heat, add 1 tablespoon butter and the onion and cook, stirring frequently, until softened and golden, about 10 minutes; season with salt and pepper. Push the onion to one side of the skillet and melt the remaining 1 tablespoon butter on the other side. Whisk the flour into the butter and cook, whisking, for 2 minutes. Whisk the beef broth into the flour mixture, incorporating the onions, and bring to a boil, whisking frequently, until the gravy has thickened. Cover and remove from the heat.

4. Thinly slice the steak against the grain. Pour any juices from the plate into the gravy and stir to combine. Arrange 2 slices of toast on each of 4 plates. Mound with french fries and steak slices and smother with the gravy.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Recipe courtesy Alton Brown

Ingredients

1 cup butter, plus more for greasing pan

1 cup peanut butter

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 pound confectioners鈥?sugar

Instructions

Microwave butter and peanut butter for 2 minutes on high. Stir and microwave on high for 2 more minutes. Add vanilla and confectioners鈥?sugar to peanut butter mixture and stir to combine with a wooden spoon. Pour into a buttered 8 by 8-inch pan lined with waxed paper. Place a second piece of waxed paper on the surface of the fudge and refrigerate until cool. Cut into 1-inch pieces and store in an airtight container for up to a week.
i've always wanted to try a lot of the recipes but i never have the ingredients so i just save the recipes and hope to make them one day, i like a lot of Giada's foods, so her show is one of my fave as well as barefoot contessa and bobby flay. my least favorite is paula deen because its not my kind of food, but the red velvet cupcakes sound good.
I have tried a few recipes and what I really like is that although they tend to use a lot more ingredients than I noramally use, if you follow the recipe, the dish usually has a greater depth of flavor than my own recipe usually gives.

I do find it expenseive to use all the ingredients.
Alton Brown has the best lemon curd recipe I've ever had, and I find his recipes are doable. I like watching Emeril cook, but I don't have the time, energy, or talent to make any of his stuff.
If you making deserts, watch Paula Dean. Her deserts are amazing! If your looking for a good, fast, easy meal then watch Rachle Ray. I've tried soem of her recipes and they're great!
