Anniversary Party Food and Recipe Ideas?

My brother and I are having a BBQ and pool party for our parent's 25th anniversary. We are having about 100 guests. I am looking for some unique and elegant recipes for desserts and hors d'ouvres and dips....any ideas or where I can find ideas?Anniversary Party Food and Recipe Ideas?
Here a few suggestions for you:

- Marinated Cheese: It presents very well if you layer it on a platter. It looks elegant and tastes REALLY good! It was served at my wedding reception and was devoured. It's incredibly easy to make, too. Find the recipe here: http://www.passion-for-parties.com/marin鈥?/a>

- Glazed Meatballs: You can't go wrong with these. Load them into a crockpot and they'll stay warm through your entire party! http://www.passion-for-parties.com/glaze鈥?/a>

- Fruit Skewers: Thread different fruits onto party picks. You can serve these colorful appetizers on a platter, or for a really neat presentation idea, slice a watermelon in half and poke the party picks into the ';rind side'; of the watermelon. This looks great, and everyone likes to eat fruit. If you want, you can serve it with a delicious Hawaiian fruit dip... http://www.passion-for-parties.com/hawai鈥?/a>

Good luck and have a great time!Anniversary Party Food and Recipe Ideas?
The Platter:

From the deli buy some Ham, Salami, Turkey Breast and Roast Beef. Also get some American cheese, provolone, Swiss and Muenster cheeses.

Get a big platter, layer BIG lettuce leaves all over platter, roll up the meats and just make a ring with cheeses and lay the meats on top. Add some grapes and starwberries for a cool effect and serve with crossoints, rolls, breads, pitas, and bagels along with mayo, mustards (all different kinds) and tomatos, onion and lettuce. You could also do an aioli and a dill sauce for spread.

Make a dip...this is a good easy one...

2 large cans of refried beans

1 large container sour cream

1 bunch green onions, chooped

1 large can black olives, chopped

2 large bag mexican cheese blend

3 taco seasoning packets

tortilla chips

salsa

In a large pan, put the beans in. In a bowl mix the sour cream with the taco seasoning and add to top of the beans, then layer the rest.

Chill in fridge for 4 hours or more and serve with tortilla chips and salsa.

Easy Pasta Salad

1 box any shaped noodle, cooked and not rinsed

1 bag mixed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, chopped

1 bottle italian dressing

Mix all and chill, fabulouso!!!!!!!!

Mexican dip that goes along way:

1 big box velveeta mexican cheese, chunked into small pieces for cooking

1 pound pork sausage

2 cans rotel

Cook the meat, drain. Add the rest and stir until smooth....keep on low in a crock pot, and serve with tortilla chips.

Shrimp by the bulk pound are cheap.....make a cocktail dish...or buy a pre made one.

Cheeses and fruit goes along way with crackers also.

******this was an answer for something else, just add more ingriedients for more people********
Tastes have changed in 25 years. Why not look back at what was in vogue when your parents got married and theme the party and food to that era.
why not have the regular BBQ sides with a kick?

Instead of regular Mac %26amp; Cheese...try changing the cheese to montery jack and pepper jack and use penne pasta.

Instead of just regular baked beans...brown some ground beef with onions and bell peppers, add to your Bush beans, add your favorite sauce, add a little brown sugar, and then bake for an hour so the flavors can blend.

Instead of garlic bread make garlic pull apart bread.

Hope this gives you some ideas.
