my face keeps getting oily and zitty. i REALLY h8 it. i don't like using the creams... they don't work plus i heard they use really strong chemicals in them. i was wondering if any1 knew some foods or food mixtures i could use on my face instead. thx! ; )Does anyone know good foods or recipes for this?
first, use brown sugar and a little water to exfoliate your face. just scrub lightly for about a minute.
pat dry, smooth some honey on your face for about 10-20 minutes. (honey is a great moisturizer, and has antibacterial properties that can help clear up your pimples).
wash this off your face with an oil free cleanser. (im in love with the purity cleanser from philosophy. it is super gentle and wont trigger any breakouts)
you can use a used cold green tea bag as a toner.
I also have a great fast hand treatment for ya! ( go try it right now!!)
put some olive oil in your hand and add some sugar, a tbsp or so, and a couple drops of honey. scrub for about a minute. rinse with water and wash with soap. (dishsoap cuts the grease) then soak your hands in cold milk for 5 min. (sometimes i get lazy and just pour it on)
wash your hands and admire how insanely soft and smooth they are!!
your face will feel like this too when youre finished =]
if these seem a little crazy to you, this is why you use each one,,, the sugar exfoliates, the olive oil and honey moisturize, the milk has lactic acid in it, which is great for skin. (i even pour some in my bath occasionally)
have fun with this =]Does anyone know good foods or recipes for this?
Sadly, I've tried all of those and they do not work. Sugar and fat makes it worse, blocking the pores with the worst types of things. I know this isn't food, but this actually works. Soft mud. Long process, but it's the cleanest cleanser (no chemicals; it's actually what goes into most cleansers) Get some dirt that has no fertilizer/pesticides in it. Put it in a large bucket, and fill it about halfway with dirt halfway with water. You're going to have to make, well, mud. Keep adding water to it for about a week and keep stirring it so it's very soft. Remove all rocks/large clumps. Apply to your face and rub it in a upwards motion for about 30 seconds. Rinse off with warm water, and when your skin dries get an ice cube and rub it on your face.
Warm water opens your pores, cold closes. You want warm water to open and then clean out, then close them so nothing else (like oil) can get in.
Do this every morning and night. If your skin starts to feel a little too dry then reduce it to once per day.
They advertise ProActiv on TV and it is supposed to be very good.
